Romney Handler Dan Senor

Bulls are very large and potentially dangerous animals. To make bulls easier to control and handle, the bull may be given a nose ring. Bulls have a piece of tissue called a septum between their nostrils. This tissue is very sensitive, so the bull becomes compliant and easily led when a person [a “handler”] grabs hold of the ring.
Like every Western politician, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is an annoying philo-Semite.
Among other things, he has a personal acquaintance with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu , toward whom he displays an embarrassing servility, dating to 1976 when they worked for the Boston Consulting Group.
“We can almost speak in shorthand,” Romney boasts.
In a televised debate Romney criticized an anti-Palestinian remark Newt Gingrich made by saying in front of millions of people, “Before I made a statement of that nature, I’d get on the phone to my friend Bibi Netanyahu and say: ‘Would it help if I say this? What would you like me to do?'”
One of Romney’s key handlers is 40-year-old (Romney is 65) “foreign policy adviser” Daniel Samuel Senor, the man behind Romney’s recent trip to Israel. According to media reports, Senor is an observant Jew.
Tablet Magazine, an online Jewish publication, recently profiled him. (Allison Hoffman, “Romney’s Jewish Connector: How Dan Senor became the GOP candidate’s key emissary to Israel’s intelligentsia and the Washington policy scene,” July 27, 2012.)
Senor, the publication states, “offers the socially awkward [Romney] the thing his campaign most craves: an easy ability to make people like him.”
What did American oafs do before they had ubiquitous Jewish handlers to guide them?
Senor is described as the GOP candidate’s key emissary for the past six years to Israel’s intelligentsia, the American Jewish community, and Washington DC’s Jewish foreign policy Establishment.
His sister, Wendy Senor Singer, is a former Democratic congressional staffer who heads the Jerusalem office of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), Washington’s most powerful lobby. She “has the ear, and the direct phone number of just about everyone in the Israeli government.”
Brother-in-law Saul Singer, Wendy’s husband, now a fellow at the Israel Democracy Institute, is a former Republican congressional staffer and longtime editor and columnist for the Jerusalem Post. He and Senor co-wrote a successful book about Israel’s “economic miracle.”
Imagine how corrupt Israel’s economy is. Would you buy stock in an Israeli company?
Senor claims his mother was a “Holocaust” survivor and his grandfather died at Auschwitz. He invests the tale with great melodrama—oh, such suffering the world’s tyrants endure!
I’m sure Romney, like Senor, basks in the tale’s sacred glow. And no reporter will look into the matter.
Since Holocaust survivorship appears to be heritable, there won’t be fewer “survivors” in the future, but more. Every Jew will be a “survivor” by descent or, more broadly, ethnicity.
Senor’s father was a professional employee of various Jewish communal organizations. Dan Senor himself worked as a Washington intern for AIPAC when he was young.
But Senor is best known for his 2003–2004 stint as America’s occupation spokesman in Iraq.
During the 2008 Obama-McCain presidential campaign, Jewish neoconservative columnist Debbie Schlussel, furious at the onscreen partisan antics of Senor’s Democratic wife, newscaster Campbell Brown, offered some choice opinions about Senor that she probably regrets now that he is Romney’s top Israel-Jewish adviser.
“Dan Senor,” she noted, “had zero foreign policy experience, and yet he was one of the two top guys running Iraq as the right-hand man and press spokesman to Paul Bremer.” (Senor was Bremer’s senior adviser.)
Bremer was Administrator (proconsul, really) of the Coalition Provisional Authority of Iraq, the Jewish-American occupation government technically under the US Department of Defense.
As press spokesman, Senor’s job was to . . . lie a lot.
He famously told the “kept” Western press corps in Iraq, “Off the record, Paris is burning. On the record, security and stability are returning to Iraq.”
Schlussel wondered why someone like Senor, whose only previous experience was serving as press secretary and adviser to Lebanese American US Senator Spencer Abraham (R.-Mich.) and working for the Carlyle Group, the politically-connected Washington asset management firm, was “allowed to run Iraq” at a time when it was America’s number one foreign policy priority, since he had no foreign policy experience.
Schlussel was right. The then 32-year-old Senor’s “foreign policy” background was virtually nonexistent for such a high-level position. (He has a B.A. in History from the University of Western Ontario and an MBA from Harvard.) Indeed, he first appeared on the foreign policy scene when the US invaded that hapless country.
Even Tablet Magazine‘s laudatory female reporter noted that Senor “had relatively limited Middle East experience [emphasis added], aside from having spent time studying [at Hebrew University] in Israel—not necessarily a plus when dealing with Iraqis—and spoke no Arabic, a common limitation among the young, smart [ahem, Jewish] set working for the Coalition Provisional Authority.”
And he hasn’t done much real foreign policy work since, either, apart from Zionist media appearances and moving in top-level neoconservative circles in the US.
Senor was offered a good shot at a US Senate seat from New York in 2010, but turned it down.
What was the name of that famous book . . . The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire?
In fact, Senor’s Jewish neoconservative background seems to have been his primary qualification for the Iraq job.
Powerful Jewish necon William Kristol was one of his mentors. Allison Hoffman noted,
Senor has a remarkable talent for cultivating mentors. Beginning with Kristol, who is almost two decades his elder, Senor has flourished under the watch of a succession of father figures, including former Republican Sen. Spencer Abraham of Michigan, a founder of the conservative Federalist Society, and David Rubenstein, the head of the Carlyle Group (and a Democrat). And, now, Mitt Romney. “I’ve never met anyone who successful, older men want to mentor or sponsor more,” Chris Heinz told me.
Senor and Christopher Heinz started a “private equity firm” together.
Heinz is the son of Teresa Heinz Kerry, who is descended from Portuguese colonists in East Africa, Maltese, Egyptians, central Europeans, etc.). His father was the late H. J. Heinz Co. heir and US Senator H. John Heinz III (R.-Penn.). He is stepson of half-Jewish US Senator John Kerry (D.-Mass.), and brother of H. John Heinz IV.
Tablet Magazine offers the following opaque account of our Horatio Algerstein hero’s rise to power and prominence:
Senor arrived at his current role by way of an itinerant and mostly accidental career that has afforded him access to a wide range of very powerful, very famous, and very rich people. As an ambitious college intern on the Hill, he caught the attention of William Kristol, the editor-in-chief of the Weekly Standard, who gave him entree into the neoconservative circle surrounding George W. Bush. Senor eventually became the face of the Bush Administration’s efforts in Iraq.
Since Iraq, Senor has “reinvented himself as a [Fox] cable news commentator and Israel advocate” while simultaneously amassing “his own fortune working on Wall Street.” (A little vague there, Allison! Details would be appreciated.)
Currently, he is “senior advisor” to Elliott Management , a New York hedge fund owned by Jewish billionaire Paul Singer, a key financial backer of the 2012 Romney presidential campaign. In 2011 Singer played a major role in imposing homosexual marriage on New York state by throwing his support behind the measure along with other wealthy Jewish GOP donors.
In 2009 Senor co-founded with fellow Jewish neocons William Kristol and Robert Kagan the Foreign Policy Initiative (FPI) to press for (even more!) US intervention abroad.
FPI is viewed by some as a revival of the now-defunct Project for a New American Century (PNAC).
Shiksa Wife Campbell Brown
Or, as Debbie Schlussel scathingly writes her name, Dale Alma Campbell Brown.
Brown is the daughter of a former Democratic Louisiana state senator and secretary of state named Brown and his common law wife, surnamed Campbell. (“I would have asked her about her father’s experience serving time in a federal prison,” the noisome Schlussel informs us.)
Campbell Brown, a Leftist, converted to Judaism when she married Senor in 2006. They have two sons.
Continuing with Schlussel —for who puts matters more directly and crudely than Jews?—prior to Brown’s marriage, the pretty woman served “as concubine to Saudi Ambassador Adel Al-Jubeir. . . . Yup, as I’ve repeatedly noted Brown ‘dated’ (euphemism) then-Saudi spokesman and current Saudi Ambassador Al-Jubeir, accompanied him to Saudi Arabia, and even whored out her news coverage at NBC for him.”
Another Schlussel gem from a different column: When Israel’s mercenaries (Americans) murdered Osama Bin Laden, she declared, “1 down, 1.8 billion more [Muslims] to go . . . many of ‘em inside US borders.”
Why is it real-life Jews so often talk like William Pierce’s fictional characters in The Turner Diaries ?
Or, in the case of Dan Senor and so many others, act like them?
I’ll bet that Counter-Currents is the first place they have ever been called on it.
