It was three years ago today that the Counter-Currents Publishing/North American New Right website went online.
In our third year, we published online 937 posts and 8,844 comments. We also published 6 new books, with many more in the pipeline.
I want to thank our writers, readers, subscribers, and generous financial donors for making all this possible.
Special thanks are due Mike Polignano for his many hours of help in designing, maintaining, and upgrading the site, as well as for his work hosting and producing the Counter-Currents Radio Podcasts.
Looking back on our goals for our third year, I am quite satisfied with our performance.
1. Our readership has grown tremendously. In May of 2012, we had 56,323 unique visitors. In May of 2013, we had 95,667 unique visitors. For a full table of our web traffic over the last three years, see our most recent Newsletter.
2. We have continued our Counter-Currents Radio podcasts.
3. We have added a number of new writers, many of whom with impressive credentials, many of whom have created followings of their own.
4. We have expanded our coverage of new books in English dealing with New Right metapolitics.
5. We have intensified our coverage of film and popular culture, which is one of the most effective ways of building our readership, spreading our message, and subverting mainstream propaganda.
6. We have continued to publish attractively designed books on important topics.
7. We have been steadily developing donors.
8. I have worked to clarify the vision and program of the North American New Right.
One of last year’s major projects has come to naught: We hoped to create a Counter-Currents Radio Network to fill the gap created by the end of the Voice of Reason Network, but that project perished essentially due to lack of capital.
Another project, our much discussed White Nationalist Manifesto, is still on the drawing board. Frankly, I am not ready to write it, and I don’t know anyone else who can do it or who wants to do it. The idea floated of doing a video version as well strikes me as excellent, but for me the great lesson of our third year is for me to stick closer to what I do well and leave other media (podcasting, video, etc.) to those for whom they are less of a creative stretch.
The goals for our fourth year are simple:
1. Counter-Currents and North American New Right are growing quite nicely with the present formula. Thus we will continue to do what we have been doing right and seek to improve upon it: more books, more articles, more translations, more podcasts, in short: more of the same — but better!
2. We’re going out of business — meaning that Counter-Currents/NANR will be reorganized as a non-profit educational corporation, a think tank. That was not the original plan, but things just turned out that way. In 2012, we created a Counter-Currents Foundation and applied for US Federal 501(c)3 tax exempt status. The IRS has sat on that application for more than a year. With recent revelations about IRS improprieties toward the Tea Party and other mild Right-wing groups, we now know why. One of our top priories for our fourth year is to shake loose IRS approval and reorganize Counter-Currents/NANR as a non-profit, tax deductible think tank.
3. Whether or not your donations are US Federal Income Tax deductible, we still need your help. Like metapolitical publishers and periodicals on the Left, Counter-Currents/North American New Right simply cannot function without donations from our supporters. Thus we are kicking off our Fourth year with another Summer Fundraiser campaign. The campaign will end on October 31. Our goal is $50,000. Our priorities are to pay ourselves and our authors to keep this project going and growing. Please give generously.
4. Until our own tax deductible foundation is approved, Counter-Currents/NANR has an arrangement with an allied 501(c)3 to collect tax-deductible donations earmarked to support specific Counter-Currents projects. Please contact me if at [email protected] if you wish to learn more.
You can make two different types of donations:
- First, you can make is a single donation of any size.
- Second, you can make a recurring donation of any size.
Recurring donations are particularly helpful, since they allow us better to predict and plan for the future. We have added several new levels for recurring donations. You can use Paypal or our secure credit card processing service to make recurring donations. Please visit our Donations page for more information.
We can also customize the amount of a monthly donation. For more details, contact Mike Polignano at: [email protected]
There are several ways to make one-time donations:
- The easiest is through Paypal. For a one-time donation, just use the following button:
- You can use our secure credit card processing service on our donate page.
- You can send check, money order, or credit card payment by mail. Just print out our donation form in Word or PDF.
Please give generously!
Remember: those who fight for the Golden Age live in it today. Thank you for your support.

Happy Birthday and Congratulations.
This website is an island and refuge in a sea of disinformation. Happy Birthday, and keep up the good work!
Greg: We have a “White Nationalist Manifesto.” This is it: Waking Up from the American Dream
A White Nationalist Memo to White Male Republicans: By Gregory Hood It is the best essay I have ever read regarding our current situation. Happy Birthday! Frederick
Those who fight for the Golden Age live in it today.
The next entry in my Quotation Book.
You should get The Origins of Indo-European Religion by Alexander Jacob back into print.
I thought (c)(4) was also tax-exempt, and was a much easier status to obtain that (c)(3). Frankly, given the incomes of most people in the Cause, tax deductibility might be the least of their concerns. I don’t think there are too many long firm filers among us. (c)(3) status would make sense for the rare individual who remembers us in their will.
There is no substitute for money. I see every dollar, few enough though they are, that I give to counter-currents as the seeds from which a much better future is possible. The dollars might be few, but they are necessary.
They are like oxygen to the Cause.
Regular monthly contributions are of the greatest effectiveness.
Happy Birthday to everyone at Counter-Currents, here’s hoping for another 3 more years of the best educational material for our race that can be found -anywhere-.
Hopefully (if they can get their act together) we’ll see the return of VOR (Voice of Reason Radio) also, both sites/sources really complimented each other awhile back, been waiting for a long time to see more from them but here’s hoping (sources/sites worth a damn online are very very few and far between apart from these two and The Occidental Observer of course).
Here’s to many more! Keep fighting the good fight.
I think the idea of a White nationalist manifesto is an excellent one, but what makes writing such a work so forbidding is the political function and literary form that such a work needs to employ in order to be effective. Such a work needs to define the political identity of White nationalism in the form of a political pamphlet, as distinct from an article or a collection of articles, an essay, or a book written from a merely personal or academic character. This is the kind of work in which it’s easy to set the standard too high and make it too difficult to write the work, or to set the standard too low and to write an ineffective work.
We need a “unifying vision,” which the American military theorist John Boyd defined thus:
“A grand ideal, overarching theme, or noble philosophy that represents a coherent paradigm within which individuals as well as societies can shape and adapt to unfolding circumstances — yet offers a way to expose flaws of competing or adversary systems. Such a unifying vision should be so compelling that it acts as a catalyst or beacon around which to evolve those qualities that permit a collective entity or organic whole to improve its stature in the scheme of things.”
Identifying the basis for such a vision, and creating a culture on the basis of this vision, is a great challenge. This vision must serve to legitimate and politicize White nationalism. It needs to give its adherents force and flexibility.
A White nationalist manifesto should express, not an existing consensus (which in any case doesn’t exist), but rather a consensus to be created, a consensus around which a political community can be created. It has a political function, and must be judged in these terms. This will be very difficult, because there is no consensus, and this work must begin with a minority rather than a majority. It will not appear to work at first in vulgar democratic terms. Any serious effort to create such a consensus will be stigmatized and opposed as “divisive,” “misleading,” or even “undemocratic” (thereby revealing the terrible extent to which the minds of such critics have been lamed by contemporary superstitions). In these matters, one should take the attitude of the French revolutionary syndicalist Émile Pouget:
“the minority is not willing to abandon its demands and aspirations before the inertia of a mass that the spirit of revolt has not yet animated and enlightened. Consequently, the conscious minority has an obligation to act, without reckoning with the refractory mass.”
Of course, a manifesto can only do so much, and its influence is highly dependent on the receptivity of its audience.
On the basis of his political articles, I think that Gregory Hood would be able to write an excellent manifesto, but whether he’s willing to do this is another matter.
I’ve had the idea of a manifesto for some time, but I don’t think I could write a good one, and there are too many other projects I should work on — some of which require years. To do these projects, I might have to cut down or cut out other commitments, commitments which take up my time and for which I get little in return.
