“Alain de Benoist’s Carl Schmitt Today is a brief, lucid, and topical exposition to Carl Schmitt’s central ideas about enmity, conflict, and geopolitics. Although middlebrow journalists on the Left have sought to smear the administration of George W. Bush by associating his ‘war on terror’ with the ‘Nazi’ Schmitt, Benoist shows us that, in truth, Schmitt’s thinking offers us unparalleled insights into the nature and ultimate futility of America’s quest for global hegemony. This is an ideal introduction to Schmitt’s work, demonstrating both its timeless profundity and its relevance to today’s headlines.” — Greg Johnson, author of New Right vs. Old Right
