August’s traffic hit a new high, crossing the threshold of 140,000 unique visitors for the first time. Thank you — readers, writers, donors, all of you — for the role you played. As tempting as it is to ascribe this to a “Hillary Clinton bounce,” it was Gregory Hood who put us over the top, both with a new article on libertarianism and with a classic article from 2012.

6. Our Book Publishing

In August, we published the second edition of Greg Johnson’s Confessions of a Reluctant Hater, which is expanded by 40%. In September, we will publish Leo Yankevich’s The Hypocrisies of Heaven: Poems Old and New, Fenek Solère’s novel Rising, and Jef Costello’s The Importance of James Bond. Other books coming this fall include Anthony M. Ludovici’s autobiography, Confessions of an Anti-Feminist, and Christopher Pankhurst’s Numinous Machines.

7. Our Amazon Affiliate Membership

In March of 2015, under pressure from the SPLC, which was amplified in the pages of the Washington Post, Amazon.com dropped Counter-Currents from its Affiliate Marketing program, which earned us about $6,000/year — a substantial financial hit to a business as small as ours. The SPLC’s aim, of course, is to put us out of business. Fortunately, our readers have rallied to our aid [22].
