The Counter-Currents 2016 Summer Fundraiser
The Morning After Election Day

elect-casey-21 [1]Because June 11th was Counter-Currents’ sixth anniversary, we used it to kick off our annual Summer Fundraiser, which traditionally ends each year on Halloween. Our goal this year is to raise $50,000. We have raised $20,176.41 so far from 220+ individuals, including a number who have begun monthly pledges. Thank you very much for your support.

Why does Counter-Currents ask for donations? Because like the opera, the symphony, and most journals of dissident ideas, sales only cover about half our expenses. Nothing is more important than preserving our race, and we are reaching more people than ever before — 140,000 unique visitors last month, and we’re on track for more than 150,000 this month — but we cannot run on memes alone. They must be magically transmuted into dollars.

The migrant crisis in Europe, almost daily attacks from Muslim and Black Lives Matter terrorists, the Brexit vote, and the Trump campaign mean that more of our people are listening than ever before for honesty about race, immigration, globalization, and nationalism. So we need to get our message to them. I have to get more articles, more podcasts, more videos, more translations, and more books out there. I need to travel more, network more, and bring more people together. Your donations make that possible.

However, I have noticed over the last month that our donations from US readers (who are the bulk of our donors) have fallen dramatically over the last month. There is a simple reason for this: the US Presidential race is heating up, and people are either just too distracted to donate, or they are putting their money in the Trump campaign.

That’s all well and good. I want Trump to win too. (I admit that I bought a hat, and I even paid $3 for a chance to have coffee with Ivanka.) Trump has proved that many or our people are receptive to civic nationalism, largely because it aligns with and appeals to white ethnic interests, although few mainstream voters are willing to admit to that, even if it does cross their minds. Why? Because the metapolitical climate — the reigning morality, reinforced throughout the culture — is still inimical to explicit white identity and interests. For now, anyway.

Of course Hillary Clinton and her allies never tie of claiming that Trump is not qualified for the office of president because he advocates policies that happen to be good for the majority of Americans, and this sounds compelling to large numbers of white Leftists and cuckservatives. Let that sink in for a minute.

If White Nationalists had been able to make more of a dent in this metapolitical environment — if we had been able lower more people’s inhibitions and raise their courage to express white racial consciousness and take their own side in a fight — Trump would have a much easier path to the White House.

All this underscores the fact that the struggle for White Nationalism will not end if Donald Trump is elected president. Trump is a civic nationalist, not a racial nationalist. He wants to enact policies that are good for all Americans, including the white majority. To that extent alone, Trump is pro-white, whereas Hillary Clinton is explicitly anti-white. Trump’s immigration policies will definitely slow down the rate of white demographic decline, but they will not stop or reverse it. And Trump may not win anyway.

White Nationalists are constantly getting swept up in mainstream politics, even though it is too early for explicit white political advocacy. I remember White Nationalists getting giddy over Ron Paul in 2008 and 2012, even though he was completely opposed to us on philosophical grounds. Of course Paul was not philosophically opposed to taking our money, and I know bona fide National Socialists who gave more money to Ron “sound money for the brown people” Paul than they ever gave to our movement.

With Trump, this giddiness has been amped up to 11, and for good reason. He advocates policies that are good for white people. Not to mention the fact that he could actually win.

My job is to keep our people focused on the long game. Because our battle will not end on election day. If Hillary Clinton is elected, things are going to get a whole lot worse for white people and much, much harder for White Nationalists to get our message out. But if Trump is elected, there are dangers as well. First of all, he might not keep his promises unless there is constant pressure. Second, even if he does keep his promises, they fall far short of what we need.

So the day after election day, I am not going to be sleeping in. I am going to be up and at my desk and continuing the struggle. And no matter the result, it is going to be a lot harder for a while. If Clinton wins, a lot of you will be demoralized. If Trump wins, a lot of you will get complacent. Either way, my work is cut out for me, and I’ll need your help.

Thus to get this fundraiser back on track, I have three announcements.

If you want to send a non-tax deductible donation to Counter-Currents Publishing, you can make two different types of donations:

Recurring donations are particularly helpful, since they allow us better to predict and plan for the future. We have several levels for recurring donations. Please visit our Donations [2] page for more information.

We can also customize the amount of a monthly donation.

There are several ways to make one-time donations:

Also, as we first announced in October of 2015, you now have two possible destinations for your donations: Counter-Currents Publishing and the Counter-Currents Foundation. The Counter-Currents Foundation is a US 501c3 educational corporation. Donations to it are deductible from US federal income taxes. The purpose of the Counter-Currents Foundation is specifically to promote scholarship and translations connected to the European New Right and allied movements. If you wish to earmark a donation to the Counter-Currents Foundation, or to discuss a particular project you would like to support, please contact me in advance at [email protected] [5]. Please give generously!

Remember: those who fight for the Golden Age live in it today. Thank you for your loyalty and support.
