Environmental Holocaust

2,361 words

You have to be really careful with other people. Most often, when they are telling you about some event or another, they’re actually talking about themselves.

Future Conservatism

Abbott Handerson Thayer (1849–1921), "Angel," 1889, modeled by his daughter Mary

1,060 words

This article seemed to fly under the radar at first, just a few months after three European heads of state admitted multiculturalism is failing:

A Populus poll found that 48% of the population would consider supporting a new anti-immigration party committed to challenging Islamist extremism, and would support policies to make it statutory for all public buildings to fly the flag of St George or the union flag.

Alain de Benoist’s The Problem of Democracy

1,343 words

Alain de Benoist
The Problem of Democracy
Translator anonymous
Foreword by Tom Suni?
Arktos Media, 2011

In an acrimonious and unstable political season it is refreshing to find a book as level-headed as The Problem of Democracy. This short, dense tome bucks the modern trend of taking a “strong thesis” and arguing it like a machine in order to litter cocktail-party conversation with high culture trinkets.

Egypt: Decay Disguised as Victory

907 words

German translation here

The story is as familiar to us as our favorite Hollywood films and Stieg Larsson novels: evil industrialists, usually of fascist tendencies, rule over a land by cruelty, oppressing the innocent people.

Let California Secede

625 words

Editors’ Note:

Arthur Frank Mathews, "Youth"

When Bush defeated Kerry and the Red State vs. Blue State meme was injected into public discourse, I was delighted to hear calls for Blue State secession. After all, if a Red State tried to secede, these very same Blue State secessionists would be screaming for nuclear war lest the “rednecks” harm a single precious hair on the head of one of the liberals’ totemic non-white “others.”

Sex

3,854 words

Whether or not human beings have immortal souls, we live as biological entities. As such, we recombine our genes with each other in a process known as sexual reproduction. That is where the easy statements end.

Gender Roles:
Adaptivity, not Control

1,703 words

Two of my personal favorite blogs, The Thinking Housewife and The Spearhead, hit on the same idea this week. What is exceptional is that they approach it from opposite angles: traditional Christianity and the Men’s Rights movement.

Could Liberalism be a Bad Mental Habit?

2,141 words

America and Europe are both separating like oil and water. One side is more conservative than the other, the other side more liberal than conservative.

Unfortunately for both, the terms “liberal” and “conservative” have gotten so muddled that most people are confused as to which side they’re on. But if we track the two historically, it’s easy to see which is which. Read more …
