Zootopia

Zootopia1,985 words

Editor’s Note:

These two reviews of Zootopia were written independent of each other. The authors did not read each other’s work until completing their own.

Disney’s Zootopia is cute, clever, and entertaining. But in terms of its message, it is pure evil. Read more …

Zootopia:
Persecution and the Art of Screenwriting

Zootopia23,510 words

Leo Strauss, in his 1952 book, Persecution and the Art of Writing, argues that great writers tend to write with multiple levels of meaning. Often writers have an exoteric message to avoid displeasing the king, censors, or fashion of the times. At the same time, they maintain an esoteric message concealed within irony, paradoxes, and even deliberate self-contradiction.  Read more …

The Alternative Right Belongs to the Darwinians

darwin-change_004275371,251 words

There are two views of human development: those of the Darwinians and those of the Progressives. We in the Alternative Right belong to the Darwinians because we believe in science, the scientific method, and the value of observation and analysis. The Progressives, on the other hand, are repelled by their observations of the human condition and attempt to replace science with a belief system they can manipulate. Progressives are Utopians; while we on the Alt-Right are Realists.  Read more …

Nikolai Vavilov

Nikolai Vavilov, “Counter-revolutionary”

Translated by G. A. Malvicini

Genetics is a branch of biology that admits the existence of pre-formation in human beings, i.e., of predispositions and traits that are internal, congenital (based on “genes”), not derived from external factors.  Read more …

Scientist leaving the world, an engraving c.1520 representing changes in the medieval conception or interpretation of the heavens.2,007 words

Part 2 of 2

If race realism is better grounded in reality than racial egalitarianism, how do racial egalitarians still cling to a false doctrine? The answer is by making ad hoc adjustments to their theory. Read more …

Joseph Wright of Derby, A Philosopher Lecturing on the Orrery, circa 1766

In this essay I would like to compare racial theories and astronomical theories. We all know that the earth orbits around the sun. In the first part, I want to argue that evidence for the reality of race is even stronger than the evidence for heliocentrism, which means that racial egalitarianism should be taken no more seriously than the idea that the world is flat, or the idea that the sun orbits the earth.
