The Myth of First-Wave Feminism

1,550 words

SuffragePosterWas it oppressive to deny women the vote? Let me be clear up front: the subject of this essay is not whether women should have the right to vote now. My argument is one that hypothetically should be capable of convincing a pure egalitarian who believes that “human nature” at its core is a kind of interchangeable, uniform “stuff,” beneath its outward expressions, which are constrained by external circumstances. I can change the mind of someone who believes that men and women are not even psychologically different and who is perfectly happy with the equality that we have managed to achieve today.  Read more …

We were told that the Left’s concern over gay marriage was about wanting to expand specific, concrete benefits entailed by the marriage certificate to homosexuals. Foremost amongst these benefits, at least as far as rhetoric was concerned, was hospital visitation rights. Read more …

Fear of a Brighter Future

sunface1. Lately, the issue of over-population has pretty much gotten drowned out by other problems in the world. But wouldn’t well-educated people be more likely to know about it, and take it seriously, than poorly-educated people? Read more …

Ask a Eugenicist
Implementing a Eugenics Program

Charles West Cope, A Life Well Spent

Charles West Cope, A Life Well Spent

675 words

Even though I believe in eugenics, I really have no idea how it should be implemented. It seems so complicated, and it could be abused. What would a model eugenics program even look like?

When we envision launching a new eugenics program in the West, we need to consider what is effective, what is morally right, and what will be accepted by the public. We can make great strides towards helping future generations with no Draconian measures whatsoever, just a combination of incentives and disincentives. Read more …

One Way to Solve the Race Problem:
Suppressing Black Births in Israel

In Israel, Jews use birth control as a weapon of demographic warfare. What makes you think it is any different here?

2,084 words

In early 2013 a brief flurry of international news stories, none very in-depth and virtually all dated between January and March, revealed that Jews were administering Depo-Provera, a long-lasting injectable contraceptive given as a shot in the arm or buttocks every three months, to Ethiopian women in Israel without their informed consent. Many thought they were receiving inoculations or flu vaccinations.

Eugenics: A Reassessment
Westport, Conn.: Praeger Publishers 2001
