Entrepreneur Elon Musk has shown immense promise recently as a critic of illegal immigration, anti-whitism, and even the out-of-control Jewish lobby. That’s why it was disquieting to see him ritually humiliated during a recent apology tour of Auschwitz with Ben Shapiro at his side. (more…)

‘Nuther day, ‘nuther few morgue loads in Gaza. It has become almost boring: 25,000 dead and counting. Should we go for a record?
But questions do arise to reinvigorate flagging interest. What kind of human will intentionally bomb a hospital? Or a refugee camp? Is there nothing so foul that an Israeli pilot will not do it? What could be more cowardly? What would it take to get you, the reader, to bomb a hospital? (more…)

Theology matters. The ideas arising from how religious thinkers have connected things in scripture drive a great deal of social policy. The outcomes of these policies can be good or bad. Societies that follow a Calvinist interpretation of Christianity, for example, tend to be wealthy. (more…)

Although we’ve been through worse, 2023 was one of those years I’m happy to see in the rear-view mirror at last. Since the plandemic began, Clown World mutated into Scary as Hell Clown Like John Wayne Gacy World, and it hasn’t improved much. Throughout the past year, my browser’s start page never failed to bring in digital flotsam proving the point. There’s much clowning to be had, but it’s not so funny anymore. (more…)

. . . I can hardly wish any man better than he would seriously consider what he does with his time; how and to what ends he employs it; and what returns he makes to God, his neighbor, and himself for it. Will he never have a ledger for this? This is the greatest wisdom and work of life. — William Penn (more…)

During the summer of 1945, when Germany’s cities were piles of smoldering rubble and the German people lived like rats in their cellars, the German Jews who had run away during the 1930s swarmed back into Germany lusting for revenge. Plan A is not only based on “a true story,” “this film from Israeli brothers Doron and Yoav Paz dramatizes an astonishing piece of Holocaust history: a deadly plot by a small group of Jewish survivors to poison the water supply in Nuremberg. ‘An eye for an eye. Six millions for six millions.’” (more…)

Ba’athism & Saddam Hussein
A System that Worked, Part 2Part 2 of 2 (Part 1 here)
The Rise of Saddam Hussein
In 1968, the Ba’athists returned to power in Iraq after a relatively bloodless coup. President Arif was deposed and exiled along with his family to London. The fact that the coup was bloodless shows that Ba’athism had won Iraqi hearts and minds and was widely seen as legitimate. Saddam Hussein was still in the background at this time, and like Stalin, he focused on creating a security and intelligence service that was loyal to him. (more…)

It’s been 20 years since the United States military captured Saddam Hussein. The Iraqi dictator was captured by the American 4th Infantry Division along with commandos from a special forces unit, Task Force 121, at the end of a nationwide manhunt that lasted for eight months after his regime had been toppled. The unprecedented use of artillery, airstrikes, tanks, and a whole arsenal of other weapons have destroyed much of the infrastructure in Gaza, but the war rages on, as the Palestinian fighters are well entrenched. The pattern has been that, after the bombardments cease and Israeli armored vehicles roll in, Gaza’s defenders emerge from their tunnel complexes and attack the Israeli soldiers, sometimes destroying their tanks and personnel carriers.
