In 1998, when I was 12 years old, my father and I were watching television one evening when we stumbled upon an HBO made-for-TV movie called The Second Civil War.
The film has been largely forgotten in the years since, but its content — and the eerily accurate predictions within it — are quite astounding to behold today, 22 years later.
The film was directed by Joe Dante and has an ensemble cast featuring Denis Leary, Dan Hedaya, James Earl Jones, Beau Bridges, Phil Hartman, (more…)

For our tenth anniversary, we compiled a list of the 12 most-viewed articles on Counter-Currents, and are now happy to announce that each of these articles has been given an excellent reading (more…)

August 22nd will be the 25th anniversary of what is popularly called “Ruby Ridge.” Most readers my age or older will remember Ruby Ridge well, but it is possible there are some younger individuals reading this without that same cognizance of the events.
The name refers to a mountaintop in Northern Idaho where — in 1992 — a man named Randy Weaver and his family ended up in a prolonged, armed standoff with the federal government that ended in the death of his wife and 14-year-old son. (more…)
I’m sure I’m heavily biased because of the fact that this is only my second real-world appearance in association with the movement after reporting on Gilad Atzmon’s appearance with Stanley Cohen, Norton Mezvinsky, and Michael Lesher in New York City.
But the American Renaissance conference of 2017 felt downright historic.

Memes have power. Statistics have power. Which of us have not heard the statistic, bandied around universities, that 1 in 3 female college students will be sexually assaulted? Whether or not that statistic is accurate, it is a demonstration of the great ability of “sticky” facts and figures to permeate and influence the public discourse.

Donald Trump’s success over the last two years was of a nature bound to foment wonder. From his first speech at the base of Trump Tower to the stunning denouement on election night, Trump gave a master class on unrepentant “winning,” and seemed perpetually five steps ahead of his opponents. (more…)
Last April, I wrote an article for Counter-Currents called “What Would a Trump Presidency Mean for Europe?” In it, I — like so many others in our neck of the political woods — predicted that Trump would win the election, and I discussed the impact I thought his victory would have on the situation in Europe.

An interesting segment from the Rachel Maddow Show aired recently. In the clip, Maddow seemed beside herself with wonder at the presence of UKIP’s Nigel Farage at a Donald Trump rally in Mississippi. Calling UKIP “racist” and “neo-Fascist” because of their opposition to mass immigration, she opined that the idea of Farage being relevant to US voters is ridiculous, since only a “radical fringe” of people would even care about the issues he is associated with. The Colonisation of Europe
London: Arktos, 2015
It is likely that many centuries hence, when the historic events which will have taken place in Europe in the first decades of this century are discussed and referenced, famous books will be associated with them. Just as today we cannot discuss the fall of Rome without invoking Gibbon, it is likely that other books will gain a similar stature and relevance in connection to our own civilizational upheaval. Guillaume Faye’s book The Colonization of Europe deserves such an honor. (more…)
