Limited Hardcover Edition of The Lightning & the Sun Now in Print

On September 18, 2015, I received the long-awaited limited hardcover edition (200 numbered copies) of Savitri Devi’s The Lightning and the Sun, complete and unabridged with an extensive index. (See Christopher Pankhurst’s review here.) The books turned out beautiful, fully comparable in quality to the limited editions of Defiance and Gold in the Furnace.

Over the next few days, I put nearly 150 pre-ordered copies in the mail. Read more …

Another Update on The Lightning & the Sun

Last month, I had to secure a new printer for the hardcover edition of The Lightning and the Sun. (Long story!) The book is now in production, and the scheduled date for shipping the books to me is August 26th. That means that I will get all pre-ordered copies in the mail the first week of September.

What is the most embarrassing episode in my career as a publisher? That’s easy: the long delays to our new complete and unabridged edition of Savitri Devi’s The Lightning and the Sun, which I first announced as forthcoming two years ago. As much as I would love to blame all the delays on the editor R. G. Fowler, I must take full responsibility and apologize to the 72 people who pre-ordered 80 copies of the limited hardcover edition.

Update on The Lightning & the Sun

The Lightning and the SunOur long-delayed scholarly edition of Savitri Devi’s The Lightning and the Sun is nearing completion.

  • The Kindle edition should appear by mid-December.
  • The paperback edition will be available shortly after that.
  • The limited hardcover edition will go to press at the same time, but it will take longer to print and ship, which means that it will reach purchasers in February, 2015.
