Call for Papers

Counter-Currents/North American New Right is looking for articles for four series:

1. Why We Write

When I edited TOQ Online, I asked contributors to write brief personal articles reflecting on the motives and aims of their writing and the metapolitical role of intellectuals. I also wanted the authors to say something about themselves as individuals to allow readers and potential writers to form personal connections with them and our movement.

It was a useful and popular series, because it communicated the humanity and the intellectual diversity and depth of our contributors. I will reprint some of those articles here — those whose authors give me permission — and I will add new ones.

The series is called “Why We Write,” and each individual article will be called “Why I Write.” Articles can range anywhere from 400 to 2,000 words, but most should come in under 1,500. For a more concrete ideas, see the contributions of Andrew Hamilton [2]F. Roger Devlin [3], and Jonathan Bowden [4]. The whole series is here [5].

2. White Awakenings

“White Awakenings” is a series of autobiographical reflections on the different paths individuals have taken to racial awareness, whether it was a single event that led to an epiphany or a long process of observation and study. Each author should also give us a sense of his or her personality. Again, the goal of this series is not merely to inform but also to allow readers to form personal connections with our authors.

This series is open to everyone: writers, activists, and spectators who might want to take their first steps toward a more active role. Each article can have a distinct title. Articles can range anywhere from 400 to 2,000 words, but most should come in under 1,500. I hope to publish the best of these articles as a book.

3. The Meaning of Thanksgiving and Christmas:

The holiday season is upon us. I am looking for new and previously published articles on the meaning of Thanksgiving and Christmas to our people. I will begin with a couple of articles around Thanksgiving, but I want the main focus to be on Christmas: its origins, the different folklore and practices surrounding it across the white world, and the ongoing campaign of various Grinches to steal or sully it.

4. Birthday Commemorations

Our ongoing series of birthday (and in some cases, death day) commemorations [6] needs your input. Our recent Ezra Pound [7] commemoration was surprisingly popular and brought new people to our site. Let’s keep up the momentum. I am looking for new material and reprints, as well as classic excerpts from the following writers. Also, please let me know if there are other birthdays (or passings) that I should commemorate in November and December.

Upcoming Birthdays:

November 15, René Guénon (I am translating a piece by Edouard Rix. Other suggestions are welcome.)

November 16, Sir Oswald Mosley (I would like to reprint a classic text by Mosley as well as a classic tribute to him.)

November 18, Percy Wyndham Lewis (I will reprint Kerry Bolton’s excellent essay that is already on this site. I would like to have a couple of good excerpts from his writings as well. )

November 20, P. R. Stephensen (I have an excellent essay by Kerry Bolton lined up. I would like to have some good excerpts from his writings as well.)

December 1, Henry Williamson (I will reprint essays by Mark Deavin and Kerry Bolton that we already have on this site. I also would like suggestions for excerpts from his writings.)

December 7, Pentti Linkola

December 22, Filipo Marinetti (Again, I have a piece on the site by Kerry Bolton. Examples of Marinetti’s writings would also be useful.)

Please Email [8] me with your suggestions and submissions. And thank you.
