You say “buy anything after entering Amazon.com through Counter-Currents” and you get a commission…is that just books that CC lists or any book or as you say “anything”? What about appliances, TVs, etc.? I’m going to be buying some things and would be delighted to help out CC which is doing great work–and if it’s “anything” I will spread the word to my family.
Anything means anything that Amazon sells: appliances, TVs, food, clothes, etc. It is an amazing deal. We really appreciate your helping out this way. We are getting 7.5% per month now on these purchases. It really makes a difference for us, and it costs you nothing extra — just the trouble of bookmarking and using the link.
Thanks Greg. I don’t think many of the C-C readers realize this. You perhaps might post a note of some kind or send a mass email. 7.5% is a great deal for you.
I have purchased items in Amazon thru your link, but I have no way of knowing I’m actually going thru you as the Amazon site doesn’t say “connected thru CC”. I hope you actually received the 7+% from my Amazon purchases.
As long as you use the link, it should work. We have no way of knowing who buys what, but they do give us a list of sales. Email me with the names of a few items, and I can confirm that the link is working.
Just bought: Tomislav Sunic, Against Democracy and Equality
Hope its not a slog, but glad I’m getting my hands on physical copy instead of just Kindle e-reader. Though I like to save the $, there’s a part of me that worries about having my intellectual library condensed into such an easily losable form like a computer file.
Imagine what great worked could be destroyed in seconds if it were only relegated to the digital space?
……makes me want to start printing CC articles asap.
I understand your concerns. However, anything purchased for you kindle is saved on the Amazon cloud, which you can access and download again [I think?] Of course, that also means Amazon can fiddle with your library, and they have done so; I think Orwell’s estate made them remove pirate editions — of 1984! How’s that for irony?
You can also save them on your computer, which in turn you can/should be backing up with something like Carbonite anyway.
The way I look at it, apart from saving space, the Kindle library is easier to escape with if TSHTF and you have to make a run for it. It’s like the runaways who each memorize a book in Fahrenheit 451; if one of them dies, the book is lost [we see an old man teaching his book to a youth] but in practice it’s easier to run and hide from the State.
Of course, you still need power, but if that goes, all bets are off anyway. No light or heat to read your books by.
