    There’s one other anecdote concerning Colin Wilson with more controversial political ideas that this interview doesn’t mention (not that it should have, I’m just pointing it out if someone’s interested.) A predictably biased account of it is featured in Deborah Lipstadt’s Denying the Holocaust and it deals with how Colin Wilson reviewed Richard Harwood’s Did Six Million Really Die for the UK mainstream publication Books and Bookmen, how he found merits in the revisionist thesis and the backlash he endured.

    Colin Wilson’s dislike of Aleister Crowley is perfectly understandable. Although I don’t think that Crowley was “the wickedest man in the world” — there’s too much competition! — I’m inclined to think that this priapic pervert should have had his “magick wand” cut off.

    On a more serious note, perhaps John Morgan should discuss Ernst Jünger and The Worker (now available in an English translation) in a future podcast.

    Regarding a White Nationalist Manifesto:

    Manifestos have been used as a central organizing principle by revolutionaries of all eras. Look at the Declaration of Independence, the NSDAP 25-point Plan, Luther’s 95 Theses, the program of the Sandinistas, and so forth.

    There are two levels. The higher provides unity and guidance to cadres by stating ultimate objectives. This includes hardcore concepts such as:
    * the organization of a White ethno-state
    * the establishment of an organic economy
    * the purging of the current anti-White rot from academia
    * the creation of a worldwide alliance of nationalists in opposition to globalization
    * and various other items you discussed in your recent interview with Millennial Woes

    The lower level includes goals around which the average White can rally, like:
    * ending affirmative action
    * enforcing immigration law
    * abolition of “diversity” indoctrination
    * opposition to exporting your job to a third world country
    * protection of free speech rights in the workplace, on the campus and in the streets
    * and perhaps even defense of statues of historic White heroes

    (The hardcore concepts are the propaganda, the populist appeals are the agitation in the equation of agitprop.)

    A manifesto is also useful for dispelling the misinformation which the opposition spreads about nationalists.

    Something else to consider is including practical items for people who are drawn in. Some examples:
    * where to send monetary contributions
    * how to get legal defense
    * accessing (and creating!) alternative media
    * boycotts of anti-White media and other institutions
    * tactics for identitarian style guerrilla theater actions
    * fronts for students, workers, cops, artists anyone else with a specialized interest

    Anyway, these are ideas…

      I think it would be good to have a White nationalist equivalent of Warfighting. This doctrinal publication of the US Marine Corps, which reflects some of the ideas of John Boyd and William S. Lind, can be readily found on the internet.

        Agreed.

        The Left has had all sorts of tactical and organizational manuals. The Alt Right needs the same. It could include sections on information warfare, online networking, street theater, legal defense, and etcetera.

          I’ve noticed that one webpage listing the doctrinal publications of the US Marine Corps distinguishes between “capstone publications” and “keystone publications,” stating that “Marine Corps Doctrinal Publications (MCDPs) are higher order doctrinal publications that contain the fundamental and enduring beliefs of warfighting (Capstone publications — MCDP 1, 1-1, 1-2, and 1-3 [i.e., Warfighting, Strategy, Campaigning, Tactics]) and the guiding doctrine for the conduct of major warfighting activities (Keystone publications — MCDP 1-0, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 [i.e., Marine Corps Operations, Intelligence, Expeditionary Operations, Logistics, Planning, Command and Control]).” I think a similar distinction could be applied in the present context. We need publications on matters that concern our movement as a whole (e.g., doctrine, organization, strategy), publications on particular disciplines and functions (e.g., producing media, intelligence gathering and analysis), and publications on miscellaneous tasks, techniques, and problems (e.g., legal issues, security).

          I think that Warfighting is a model for a “capstone publication.” Although it could be better edited and formatted — I recall that it has a few spelling errors and the references aren’t properly formatted — these defects are trivial. The content and style of the work is superb. It’s a model of lucidity, profundity, and brevity.

          We need to institute some means of education. Publications on their own are largely inert. We need to translate theory into doctrine, and doctrine into culture — a political culture befitting “a fighting collectivity of people” (Carl Schmitt). We need to properly understand the overall work of our movement, the particular work we perform, and how our particular work relates to the overall work of our movement and the particular work of our co-workers.

    Great discussion. This inspired to to get a couple of Colin Wilson’s books from my local library….

    PS – it would be interesting to hear about John Morgan’s experiences with the Hare Krishnas sometime, if that’s something he’s willing to talk about.

      I would have no problem talking about it, in fact I think I said something about it in my Red Ice interview. I’d be willing to do a whole interview on it but not sure how interesting most people would find it.
