The Counter-Currents Newsletter, February 2019

[1]1,030 words

Dear Friends of Counter-Currents,

February was another strong month for Counter-Currents. We added 54 pieces to our webzine and more than 20 videos and nearly a thousand subscribers to our YouTube channel [2]. I gave speeches and took part in independence day torchlight marches in Lithuania and Estonia. I also appeared on four podcasts including episodes of The Public Space, Millennial Woes, The After Party, and Red Ice TV to talk about the censorship of Counter-Currents titles by Amazon.com.

The big news of February, of course, was the banning of 17 Counter-Currents titles, plus a rising toll of other White Nationalist titles, by Amazon.com. Counter-Currents will survive. We have received a flood of new orders because of the publicity, plus many messages and donations in sympathy. I am struggling to keep up with all the orders. I will publish a fundraiser update later in the week. In the meantime, let me just say to everyone who has rallied to our side: thank you on behalf of everyone at Counter-Currents.

Our top 20 articles and full stats are below.

1.  Top 20 Pieces (with Number of Reads):

This month’s Top 20 were mostly from established CC writers. Amory Stern and Mihai Emeneuscu are making their first appearances. #1 is Rich Houck’s perennial viral classic “The War Against Whites in Advertising.” Greg Johnson had four articles, plus two Trevor Lynch reviews. Robert Hampton, who is relatively new to Counter-Currents but is a rising star, had three. Morris V. de Camp had two. Another rising star, Nicholas Jeelvy had one, as did Howe Abbott-Hiss, Michael Walker, Spencer Quinn, Ricardo Duchesne, and John Morgan.

2. Our Readership and Web Traffic

Beginning in January, we noticed a drop in our unique visitors, but without a corresponding drop in the number of visits and pages viewed. It might be the case the CC is being shadow-banned by search engines. Other than this change, our traffic remains pretty much plateaued, as it has been for more than a year. (Bear in mind that February is 3 days shorter than January.)

3. How You Can Help Counter-Currents

Like most dissident journals of ideas, Counter-Currents depends upon donations to survive. If you want Counter-Currents to thrive, make a donation today.

If you want to send a non-tax deductible donation to Counter-Currents Publishing, you can make two different types of donations:

I want to make a special pitch today for recurring monthly donations. Recurring donations are particularly helpful, since they allow us better to predict and plan for the future. We still have not recovered from the loss of monthly donors after being deplatformed by PayPal in August of 2017, in the moral panic whipped up after Unite the Right in Charlottesville. Let’s rectify that right now. Please use the secure online form below.
