President Joe Biden seems powerless to do anything about . . . well, anything at the moment. He promised to change election laws to “save democracy” (read: give his party permanent political power), and he can’t do it. He vowed to fix immigration, but the problem only grows worse. He pledged to make America’s geopolitical opponents respect us, but they are doing the opposite. He said he would end COVID, but everyone is still in masks and hysteria continues to reign. (more…)

Asking “Is America a More ‘Christian Nation’ than Ever Before?” generated a lot of responses on Counter-Currents. My article looked into the argument that a post-Christian America continues to display strongly Christian characteristics, as even some evangelicals now claim. (more…)

America is no longer “Jesusland.” Only 63% of Americans now identify as Christians, down from 75% just a decade ago. 29% of Americans now identify as non-religious, an increase of roughly ten points since 2011.
Unsurprisingly, religious behavior has also declined. (more…)

Public officials still pretend Kwanzaa is a real holiday. It’s taught to schoolchildren as one of the holidays of the “holiday” season, even though nobody knows anyone who actually celebrates it. It’s a day we’re all forced to pretend that being black is a religion, just like Christianity and Judaism. (more…)

A diverse group of hopeless inner city kids is given the gift of an affluent liberal white woman teacher. That’s the plot of the 2007 film Freedom Writers, one of the more hilarious white savior films ever made. Set in 1990s Los Angeles, the film depicts the “true story” of an idealistic teacher delivering hope to her rough non-white students.
The film has all the clichés you can imagine: tough kids with hearts of gold, a bubbly heroine who can’t be told no, Holocaust survivors teaching kids to ditch hate, and racist administrators who won’t believe that blacks and Latinos want to learn. (more…)

Kyle Rittenhouse now stands as a folk hero to many Americans, particularly conservatives. Any person with a functioning brain is astounded by how much of a farce the whole case is. The prosecution is essentially arguing that you have no right to defend yourself against a violent mob and you must allow them to beat or even shoot you. The right to self-defense apparently doesn’t apply in this situation. (more…)

Surprisingly, moderate Republican Glenn Youngkin won the Virginia gubernatorial race this week. Once a battleground, Virginia has become a solid blue state in recent years. Republicans last won a statewide race in 2009, and few commentators gave Youngkin a shot to win. Donald Trump lost the state by 10 points in 2020, and Republicans lost the gubernatorial race in 2017 by the same margin. This time, however, the Republican candidate won it by over two points. Metternich: Strategist and Visionary
Cambridge, Mass.: Harvard University Press, 2019Julius Evola called Klemens von Metternich the “last great European.” The Right-wing philosopher saw the Austrian statesman as his ideal leader instead of the fascist strongmen he saw in his own time. Statements like this have made the Right partial to Metternich, seeing him as a leader who tried to reverse the poison unleashed by the French Revolution. (more…)

Facebook’s list of “Dangerous Individuals and Organizations” was leaked last week. It was about what you’d expect. Alleged “hate”-mongers are placed alongside terrorist leaders and cartel kingpins. Jared Taylor is just as grave a threat as ISIS, according to Facebook’s list. (more…)

A World after Liberalism: Philosophers of the Radical Right
New Haven: Yale University Press, 2021Countless books and articles have sought to explore the “Alt Right” over the past five years. Most amount to little more than point-and-sputter journalism, expressing horror in every paragraph that people would dare to believe such things as we do. (more…)
