An Academic Study of the North American New Right

2,185 words

Damon T. Berry
Blood and Faith: Christianity in American White Nationalism
Syracuse, N.Y.: Syracuse University Press, 2017

When I was in graduate school, one of my professors likened grading undergraduate exams to fever dreams, in which the events of the day — or, in his case, a whole semester’s worth of lectures — come back in garbled form. I have had the same experience reading about my ideas in the mainstream media.  Read more …

The Counter-Currents 2017 Fundraiser
Why I Write

1,392 words

Speech that doesn’t commit one to anything, doesn’t stand on its own, doesn’t risk its position, doesn’t cost anything, is not worth very much.” – The Invisible Committee[1]

One of my former colleagues just had the honor of presenting the annual President’s Address to the American Anthropological Association. Her speech, a paean to the power of the “good” anthropologist who battles against the “looming darkness” caused by recent “political disasters,” was hailed as a courageous speaking of truth to power in the darkest days of late-modern life. It is important for White Nationalists to visualize what victory would look like. There are really two answers to this question. The ultimate answer is our vision of Whitopia, the society we want to create. But before we build Whitopia, we need to achieve a victory over the present political system. Read more …

Preference Falsification & White Nationalism

2,521 words

Timur Kuran

One of the many interesting things about the election of Donald Trump is how spectacularly wrong the mainstream media were in their predictions. In part this was, quite obviously, loosely (?) coordinated psychological warfare designed to intimidate and demoralize potential Trump voters. But their predictive failure was also the result of a more organic phenomenon, one ultimately rooted in the same maelstrom of Jewish culture war that produced these coordinated efforts, but expressed in the concept of preference falsification, defined by the Turkish-American economist Timur Kuran Read more …

The Road to Alt Right Artistry

Since Hillary Clinton’s mention of the Alternative Right in one of her speeches, there have been countless discussions about what the Alt Right is and represents, with everyone and anyone, no matter how inappropriate, suddenly declaring they are part of the Alt Right. I think it is quite easy to define what the Alt Right is: it is the postmodern manifestation of what Julius Evola termed the True Right.  Read more …

Gabriël Metsu, Man Writing a Letter, circa 1664-1666

I grew up in an incredibly small, overwhelmingly Southern Baptist town. The kind of place where almost everyone had some idea of when any given person in town had or hadn’t walked up in the main church (stationed straight across from the main grocery store) during the altar call to ask the Holy Spirit to come into their hearts, and “conservatism” meant being among the people keeping track more than anything else.
