Decline of the West, Part 2

2,781 words

Part 2 of 7 (Part 1 here, Part 3 here)

Darryl Cooper: Something that you just said, definitely it’s something I’ve observed. I think maybe ten, fifteen, or twenty years ago, a lot of the time when you would think of a White Nationalist, you’re not necessarily thinking of a savory character. And I think there was probably some justice to that stereotype. Read more …

Directed by Ben Wheatley
Screenplay by Amy Jump, based on the novel by J. G. Ballard

Epstein Angles

Jeffrey Epstein

1,625 words

Many have been inspired by the Epstein affair to put fingers to keyboard and use it as a vehicle for their own particular hobby-horse. That is not my intention, and the insights I can offer are mostly background about Robert Maxwell, Ghislaine Maxwell’s father. It’s a fascinating story of opportunism and intrigue. This won’t be my usual, carefully considered analysis, but rather an “information dump” of what I know.

Co-Opted Nationalism

2,057 words

Racial nationalists were banned from attending Yoram Hazony’s National Conservatism Conference, which aimed to offer a race-free nationalism (except for Jewish ethnonationalists, of course). The opening speech delivered by David Brog, the non-Christian former head of Christians United for Israel, declared racialists were unwelcome. Hazony spent weeks before the conference arguing with identitarians that nationalism has nothing to do with race. The Israeli scholar boasted that racialists would suffer a crushing defeat from the success of his conference.

Principles are More Important Than People

2,610 words

There is a lot of wisdom in the anonymous saying: “Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people.”

But understanding this saying requires some nuances. One can’t understand politics without discussing all three categories: ideas, events, and people.

Thus great minds do not discuss only ideas. Read more …

How Twitter Censors Right-Wing Users

1,110 words

When people talk about censorship on Twitter, it is often naïvely assumed that this must mean straightforward banning of users, or clumsy deletion of individual tweets. In fact, individual tweets are very rarely deleted, except in tandem with sanctioning the user responsible (usually with a lifelong ban, or a precursor to it). As for the banning of users, that is certainly widespread and occurs literally daily at this point.

It is with relief that one turns to Neville’s biography; the bright Sun, soft breezes and blue ocean of the Caribbean replace the dark and soggy little Plymouth Brethren colony.[1]

Neville speaks of his father many times – itself a clue – but here is one of my favorites, and it includes much interesting material for our considerations:

True Muslims, True Scotsmen

The Adana Massacre of 1909, in which Muslim Turks massacred tens of thousands of Armenian Christians – an example of True Islam?

2,584 words

Earlier this month, Counter-Currents published an interview in which Greg Johnson made some negative comments regarding Islam. He described Islam as an “inherently political” religion and a “memetic virus” which cannot be permitted in white societies since it will “destroy white societies and create societies that are foreign to, and unpleasant for, white people.”

In response, Alexander Wolfheze offered a qualified defense of Islam in which he concedes that “what many Westerners have experienced as ‘Islam’ is negative.” Read more …
