Look at You, You’re the Fake News Now

865 words

The meme war continues to twist and turn mere days into 2017, and Trump continues to ravage the Left at trans-dimensional backgammon. I know, I know; ascribing Trump’s broadsides to 4-D chess is overused and generally a big-if-true kind of deduction, but hear me out. Read more …

The Epic of Human Evolution:
Johannes V. Jensen’s The Long Journey

Johannes V. Jensen

4,932 words

Johannes V. Jensen cannot be called a forgotten writer — he won the Nobel Prize in Literature for 1944 and is still remembered in his native Denmark — yet his name will probably be unfamiliar to most of my readers. He was born in 1873, the second of eleven children of a veterinary surgeon in the village of Farsø in Northern Jutland. To help finance his medical studies at the University of Copenhagen, he began writing “cliffhanger” newspaper serials. After three years, he switched to full-time writing and journalism.  Read more …

Has the Alt Lite Embraced the [North American] New Right?

1,200 words

The following is reprinted from Atlantic Centurion.

Since the Alt Right tends to be a little extreme for the average pro-Trump blogger or supplements salesman, the loose collection of civic nationalists and cultural libertarians we’ve taken to calling the Alt Lite or Alt RINOs has started grasping for a label to give itself. Read more …

Chanernative Right:
The Alternative Right & Imageboards

2,774 words

Defining the Alternative Right

The “Alternative Right” is an umbrella-term used to group-together a mass of Right-wing spheres; “Right-wing” meaning antiliberal, anti-egalitarian, and anti-Whig as an ultimate outlook (though with plenty of room for intercommunity disagreement). Read more …

Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals

2,486 words

alinsky(((Saul Alinsky)))
Rules for Radicals: A Practical Primer for Realistic Radicals
New York: Random House, 1971

Rules for Radicals is [in]famous for its purported influence, and that of author (((Saul Alinsky))), among liberal and Left-wing ideologues and politicians in the United States, including Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. The political bent of this classic but reviled work by a community organizer from Chicago is shown on the very first page of the introduction by referencing “Joe McCarthy’s holocaust.” Read more …

9. listopadu 2016

trump-victory-31,033 words

English original here

Read more …

Make Cities Great Again

Times Square, New York by Arthur Clifton Goodwin. Late 1800s.

Arthur Clifton Goodwin, Times Square, New York, late 1800s

1,384 words

James Traub’s history of Times Square in New York, The Devil’s Playground (Random House, 2007) provides – perhaps unintentionally – an excellent case study illustrative of when and how American cities went wrong.

In March of 1960, the New York Times ran a long front-page story under the headline ‘Life on 42nd St. A Study in Decay.’ Read more …

The Nine Laws by Ivan Throne

ninelaws1,400 words

Ivan Throne
The Nine Laws: Survival, Momentum, Triumph
Castalia House, 2016

What if Julius Evola had written a samurai treatise? What if Lao Tzu had written a long, systematic book of philosophy instead of the short, poetic chapters of the Tao Te Ching? What if the famed, long-lost book On Nature by Heraclitus — he who was called “The Dark” — were to be found and published?  Read more …
